I'm sorry that the cartridge you got does not work properly. It sounds like it is defective.
When you get a defective cartridge, you have the option to:
- request a replacement or refund from the seller
- contact us if it is a defective genuine cartridge that is not replaced by the seller (and it is still within the warranty ends date on the cartridge): hp.com/contactHP

It was the last one on the shelf. Opened it and put in printer. Its dryer then the one we threw away!

The service was very good, however I would have much rather gone inside the store and browsed. The product is good, but of course why shouldn't it be, it is HP ink for an HP printer.

I typically don't print. I scan an email. This was by far the worst. Last one I got at Walmart lasted way longer. Not sure what's going on.

I see that your ink is printing faded pages. I am sorry you are experiencing this situation. I have several ideas for resolving this scenario.
Most likely, the faded ink is the result of a clog. Gently clean the residue from the printhead and the copper contacts.
The second remedy is to increase the density settings in the printer. Sometimes, it automatically defaults to low density and changing it might fix the issue.
Low or high humidity might affect the ink. Turn the printer off if you are not actively printing. This prevents the printhead from drying.

It sounds like you have a clog. Clogs can cause smudges and other print quality issues. Try cleaning the cartridge. A damp cloth or tissue will work well. It appears the cartridge is defective. If you need additional help, reach out to support.

Faulty cartridge

I bought another one at Walgreens and it worked. Best Buy does not credit for defective cartridges so I received another one. I'm not sure if it works as I already have a working one installed.
