Rip off
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the double ink supply supposivally crammed into the regular size cartridge. I wasn’t even able to copy the normal number of copies, (which is low) before it ran out. I bought a Brothers printer and I only wish I would have bought originally.

Very expensive and poor print output
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Two of these HP63XL cartridges cost as much or more than the printer. Maybe wrongly but I thought the suggested capacity for the XL type was around 500pages. As a generous estimate I may have got 250.

Posted .Hello,
I'm very sorry that you are not happy with the page yield of the cartridges. We use the industry standard to estimate how much our cartridges will print. More ink will be used for higher density prints and some is used for maintenance to keep the nozzles clear of clogs.

Disappointed
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Didn’t seem to last longer than the previous ink catridge that was not XL. I printed less than75-100 pages max on draft print mode and it was out of ink.

Posted .Hi Rachel,
My apologies for this happening to you. I can understand why you are disappointed that the cartridge seemed to run out too quickly.
Unless a cartridge is faulty, ink usage determines how long it lasts. High-density prints (such as images and graphs) will use more ink, especially if the paper is highly absorbent and the surrounding air is dry.
If the poor performance appears to be due to a faulty cartridge, please consider returning it to the seller.

Posted .Hi John,
Our company prides itself on producing high-quality ink. Unfortunately, these high-quality ink products are not cheap for our customers. Still, I can point out five ink conservation methods that save significant amounts of money.
1. Turn off the printer, as much as plausible. This parks the ink cartridges and prevents them from drying.
2. Use the black ink only setting to save on color cartridges.
3. Monitor the temperature and humidity of the room to limit the drying of the cartridges.
4. Wipe the printhead with a soft cloth to clear any clogs or residue.
5. Lower the print quality settings a tiny bit.

WASTE OF MONEY
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Your better off buying the generic printer cartridge. I have never gotten near the estimated print sheets on anything HP sells.

Posted .Hello,
I can understand if you are disappointed when the cartridges seem to run out too quickly. The advertised estimates of pages are based on a standard set of prints used by the industry.
How each individual cartridge will perform for you is determined by your own usage. High-density prints (such as images and graphs) will use more ink, especially if the paper is extra absorbent and the air is warm and dry.
Here are some things that might help lower your ink costs:
- Black is used a lot in almost every printout. Make use of the printer's draft mode whenever possible, to help stretch out black and colored ink
- Using the black-only setting will save on colored ink usage.
- Always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That gives it time to ‘park’ so that the cartridges are protected from excessive drying.
- Shutting the printer down between uses will save electricity and a few drops of ink here and there that are used to keep the inkjets cleared and ready for your next print job.
- Instant Ink lets you pay by the page. Check out the details at: instantink.com
If it appears that poor performance is due to a defect or you got a cartridge that was already low on ink, please contact the seller.
