    I think HP cartridges are not as good as they used to be - the don’t last for an occasional print job and quickly need to be replaced. Even right out of the box this purchase was short lived.

    The black cartridge was a dud. The printer told me it couldn't communicate with the cartridge and suggested I replace it. I did replace it, at a cost of $27.55, and the printer works with the new cartridge. This is the second time this has happened. (I haven't tried the multi-color cartridge, but it's probably OK.)
