Longer lasting ink cartridge
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ink cartridges seem to have a lot less ink than previously and have to be replaced more often. The XL cartridge is more cost efficient.

Poor quality
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This ink cartridge would not print well at all after print out several documents over a span of a few months. Ink had at least 3/4 of ink still available to use. I’ve done everything I usually do to clean print cartridges, which usually works with print streaks and nothing works. This is a first that I was not able to fix a print cartridge issue. I definitely won’t be buying the XL cartridges anymore, I’ll stick to the cheaper standard cartridge.

Posted .Hi,
After having a cartridge with weak print quality, I understand your feelings. The print quality might have hindered your work or school printing. We take into account that our customers depend on our products. Let's try to resolve the print quality together.
It appears you have already completed the printer maintenance. Manually cleaning the print rollers might decrease spotting or streaking. I would also check the printhead for a clog. If you wipe the printhead gently with a damp cloth, any dried ink will be eliminated. This type of outcome is common when a printer is lightly used.

Numbers
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The packets say one thing but the number of copies I get is another. Most of my pages isn’t even half of what you are suggested of getting on the ink package so I would recommend not even wasting your time on this

Posted .Hi,
I'm sorry that the cartridge did not last as long as you thought. The page yield is approximate and based on industry-standard ISO testing.
Actual number of pages depends on many factors, high-density photos and the like use ink more quickly and lots of black is used on just about every print job.
If you feel there was something wrong with a cartridge, you can always contact the seller to see about a replacement.

Starts drying out too fast.
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you don’t use the ink fast enough it will start drying and you have to spend lots of time cleaning and realigning the print heads to get a good quality print.

Posted .Hi,
I am sorry that the cartridge dries out too quickly. . I can understand if you are disappointed
It is a good idea to shut the printer down between uses. However, it is important to always use the printer's power button to turn it off. That gives it time to ‘park’ so that the cartridge is protected from excessive drying which leads to clogging.
If the poor performance appears to be due to a defective cartridge, please consider returning it to the seller. You can return it or exchange it either to the store or by mail. Information about that can be found at:

Pricey one page worth of ink?!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this cartridge for my HP printer. After printing out one page the first day something went wrong. The second day I tried a one page print and got a low ink message. This shouldn’t happen since it’s HP ink and the printer is HP.

Posted .Hello,
I was saddened to hear the ink quality was poor. The ink quality settings are adjustable on most printers. Thinner paper tends to both improve the deposits and save ink. The price is high because our ink is held to quality standards. Therefore, it is essential to conserve ink when plausible. A significant way to save is to turn off the printer as soon as you finish the print. This returns the cartridge to the covered position, saving ink.

Get the smaller one
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't buy this cartridge if you have a home printer that you use occasionally. The ink got all clogged up and stopped working exactly one month after the 1-year warranty ended, and none of the troubleshooting steps helped. It was still 3/4 full. You're better off buying the smaller cartridge if you only print maybe once a week.

Posted .Hello,
It is unfortunate that you only got to use ¼ of the cartridge. I understand this is an irritating outcome. I want to ensure you tried all of the troubleshooting steps available to get full use of the cartridge.
- Try to clean the printhead. Sometimes the copper contacts get residue that impacts printing.
- Open the printer cover. Sometimes taking out the cartridge and reinserting the cartridge helps.
- Restarting your computer and printer eliminates other potential causes.
- Run the clean printhead function from your computer.
I wish you the best of luck in solving this issue. At HP, we strive to resolve any customer questions. If nothing helps, I recommend you can contact our support team at hp.com/contactHP.

Will Not Buy Again
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After replacing my old HP 64 ink cartridge with this HP 64XL, my HP 7155 now longer prints black text. Instead it prints standard text in dark grey. Additionally, the printer cannot read the ink level of this cartridge, as it could with the prior black cartridge and as it can with my current color ink cartridge.

Posted .Hello Jordie,
Print quality issues are disappointing. I will walk you through some solutions. Due to the change in the cartridge, the print quality setting might require an adjustment. Increase the setting to make the ink darker. The ink level monitor might be absent because the cartridge is not secured within the holder. Make sure you hear a click sound when inserting it. On another note, I hope you consider giving HP products another chance.

Posted .Hi there,
I am sorry to find that the cartridge didn’t last long for you. I can understand if you are not happy about that.
The estimates of pages printed are based on standards set for the industry. How a cartridge will perform in your own printer will vary according to several things, including the surrounding environment.
Things that might help you to save money on ink:
- Make use of the printer's draft mode whenever possible
- Shut the printer down between uses
- Always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That gives it time to ‘park’ so that the cartridges are protected from excessive drying
- Subscribe to Instant Ink, then you only pay by the page, not for the cartridges themselves
