Cartridge conundrum

After only two weeks, it was out of black ink. When I went back to Best Buy, the salesperson told me that the original cartridge that comes with the printer is only filled to one-half capacity of the HP64 and that cartridge is only one-half of the full (HP64XL) cartridge. Don't understand how "XL" is actually just a full cartridge and the HP64 is only one-half of that.

Best buy if you do a lot of printing

Extra ink is worth the money
