I cleaned my printer heads reinstalled the cartridge several times. I called the customer service line and was basically told there was nothing they would do about it...not happy

I am sorry that you had this experience. It was sure to be disappointing.
It is possible that you're having a problem because of the maintenance routine run by the printer. A few drops of ink here and there are used to keep the inkjets cleared and ready for your next print job. Those drops can add up if you don't print too often.
It is a good idea to shut the printer down between uses. However, it is very important to always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That gives it time to ‘park’ so that the printhead is protected from excessive drying which leads to clogging of the inkjets. When the tiny nozzles on the inkjets clog the ink can't get through onto the paper.
If it appears that the poor performance is due to a defect or that you got a cartridge that was already low on ink, you can contact the seller about that.

I am sorry that you are not happy with the cartridges. That does sound frustrating.
Provided that the cartridge is not damaged or defective, the ink usage will determine how long it will last. High-density prints (such as photos) will require more ink, especially if the paper is highly absorbent and the environment is dry.
That said, I have a few tips that might help lower your ink usage:
- You can use the printer's draft mode and black-only settings, whenever possible, to save ink.
- Shutting the printer down between uses can also help; however, always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That lets the printer ‘park’ so that the cartridges are protected from excessive drying.

Says it could print up to 120 pages in black, and i was only able to get about 20 pages of black ink. Ill rather continue buying aftermarket cartridges for a better price and better quality. Maybe got a bad batch, but yeah not happy with this purchase. Also the black is only half full. I printed 4 pages and the ink shot down to half already. Way too expensive.
