Cartridges always dried up well before I would expect them to do so - inkjet printers in particular rarely work well in my experience plus they are expensive.

I am sorry you were not satisfied with the printer. Consumers have options, and we want you to pick the one best for you. HP has many great laser printers. If you ever repurchase ink cartridges, regular maintenance will decrease the chances of a dry cartridge. To save additional money, use print preview.
