    The sample black ink cartridge that came with the HP inkjet printer ran out of ink. This cartridge was the full size replacement and it works perfectly.

    Printer ink is how printer manufacturers make their money. They sell the actual printer for very little money, and then charge exorbitant prices for ink replacement cartridges. It is, unfortunately, a fact of life.

    When my HP with instant ink was not printing due to the age of the ink I was able to buy a cartridge and reload the printer to print out my documents.
