    I’ve purchased this in the past but was disappointed with the most recent purchase. I only did a few printouts, and the ink was completely gone. I’m not sure if it was a bad batch or not.

    When preparing to print envelopes for my Christmas cards this year, I realized that the ink in my HP printer was dry. The level was almost full, but nothing transferred to paper. The sales guy at BB said that this happens if you don't use the printer for awhile. Just one more reason to ditch the HP printer.

      Hello Scott,

      I am sorry that this happened to you. it is probable that your cartridges need to be cleaned. Your printer should have an automatic routine to do that. Check the user guide, if you don't know how to start the cleaning.

      If that helps, the printer might have been turned off using a power strip or switch. The printer should always be turned off using the power button on the printer itself. That will let the printer 'park' so that the cartridges are protected from excess drying. That can cause clogs to form in the tiny nozzles that spray the ink onto the paper.

    I’m sure if I just got a bad ink cartridge or they are starting to put less ink in them. I got about 50 pages of standard copies. Normal I get more than that.

    Works well as expected, when new. If you leave it unused for a few months, it dries up or something and you will need to buy a new one. Ridiculous.
