    Not enough ink in cartridge,

    I ran out of ink after a few uses. The supply of ink should be larger.

      Hi Bill,

      I'm sorry to hear that you are running out of ink quickly. That sounds frustrating.

      Unless the cartridge was damaged or defective, the ink usage will determine how long it will last. High-density prints (such as photos and graphs) will use up more ink, especially if the paper is highly absorbent and the environment is dry.

      Here are some things that might help lower your ink usage:
      - You can use the printer's draft mode and black-only settings, whenever possible, to save ink.
      - Shutting the printer down between uses can also help; however, always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That lets it ‘park’ so that the cartridges are protected from excessive drying.
      - Instant Ink might be worth trying. The subscription plans are based on how many pages you print. You can check out the details at: HPinstantink.com

      When it seems that the low page yield was caused by a defective cartridge, it is always an option to contact the seller about a replacement or refund.

    You people have nothing in stock. This is an ongoing problem. Have to order ink and wait for it, Unfortunately a competitor, a store I would not have walked into, had everything I needed. Have been happy with computer purchases.

    I believe in local purchases this ink came from Edison New Jersey I’m in Michigan and have a Best Buy store within 10 minutes of me !! Why not ship from the local store? Makes much more sense!!! Will consider other sources from now on

    It ran out after 2 weeks with no color printing and very light use. I would have brought it back but I doubt it was returnable.

    I ordered 2 ink cartridges and wheni i opened one, the package was already opened and the cartridge was used! No ink left. Such a disappointment considering how much ink vost

      According to the Best Buy website: "If you receive a product that is damaged in shipping, defective or that is not the product you ordered, please return it during your return and exchange time period to Best Buy and we'll arrange for a replacement.     The worst printer and inks I ever use in my all life, it was a very expensive experience, I don’t really recommend HP printers and inks they are a steal of money.

      Hello there,

      I am so sorry you had an unpleasant time with these color cartridges. While I can't change the price of the ink, I can share some ink-saving strategies. It's going to make a large difference.

      - Buy XL cartridges. They are bigger and therefore reduce the need to buy new cartridges. - I would suggest turning off the printer to "park" the cartridge from outside air and dust.

      - I think your case would benefit from using the black ink only setting.

      - You might want to decrease the print quality setting to save ink.

      -Monitoring the air temperature, humidity, and dryness will help limit the environmental conditions causing the dried cartridges.

    Cartridge was defective. I was in a hurry and made the mistake of not running a test page when cartridge replaced. My suggestion is to run the test page after inserting new cartridge

    Cartridge ran out of ink after pro10 pages. Very poor quality. Normally HP cartridges are great, but this one easy.

      Hello there Larry,

      I understand your sentiments after receiving those results. I apologize that the cartridge didn't last longer than ten pages. Cartridges last between two hundred and four hundred pages, depending on use. Fewer pages result when printing photos, graphics, tables, charts, and other ink-intensive items. Thicker paper also results in lower yields. You may have gotten unlucky and gotten a defective cartridge as well.
