Customers often highlight the high ink yield and ease of use as significant advantages of the 65XL High-Yield Ink Cartridge, with many finding it to be a great value for their printers. The reasonable price and compatibility with HP printers are also appreciated. However, a few customers have noted that the HP65 ink can sometimes be difficult to find.

So now that xl is available. You can finally get the amount of printing you got with the original cartridges… They’re just charging more than double. Way to make money

      Hello there Jenn,

I'm sorry you were dissatisfied with the results of the XL cartridge. In today's world, a lot of consumers are concerned with shrinkflation. We take your concerns seriously at HP. The most likely reason for getting the same number of pages out of a cartridge is usage changes. Page yields can vary from cartridge to cartridge. If you prefer regular cartridges, you can still purchase them.

The cartridge needed replacement, which wasn't allowed. Therefore, I found the best deal at the base exchange which actually worked. I know where to get this item in the future.

I no longer buy these. Too frustrating. I now own a mega tank printer and no longer wrestle with cartridges (the cartridges would win). Meh.

This time it was a bad cartridge. Worked for about 5 prints, then no more black ink. Tried cleaning the print heads, Nothing. Figured it was the ink jets gunked up. Was ready to throw away the printer but decided to buy a non-xl cartridge as one last test. Works great with the new cartridge. I waited too long to return the first one and it was outside the return period. Lesson learned.

Not satisfied. I purchased the XL size on 07/1922 and received it on 07/20/22. Today is 08/06/22 and I am receiving a low ink message already. I purchased it as it stated that it yields approximately 300 pages. There’s no way I should be out of ink in 2 weeks and I have not printed 300 pages worth of ink.very disappointed with This purchase and the extra money spent.

      Hello there Toya,

I agree that two weeks is a very short time. The XL cartridges are larger. In turn, this is supposed to provide greater ink value. HP is sorry they missed your expectations for the product. In the future, try turning off the printer. You might be surprised how much ink is saved through this simple step. This step moves the cartridge into a covered position, protecting the cartridge.

I will never, ever buy ink from Best Buy again. I went to the store 3 times to purchase a HP 65XL ink cartridge. They continued to be out. On the 3rd try I got an associate to order one from their warehouse & have it delivered to me. Two days after I installed it........ "LOW INK LEVELS"! My printer is less than a year old, and HP 65 XL cartridges from Walmart have always lasted 4-6 months. Best Buy would NOT replace it! BOO on Best Buy!!!!

I’m afraid this ink cartridge I received from you might be defective. Ever since I got it and installed in my printer. I keep getting an error message that the ink cartridges aren’t communicating with the printer. I had never had this happen prior to installing this new ink cartridge

      Hello there Jan,

I'm sorry the error message popped up on the screen. Those messages could be more apparent to customers. It makes sense you are unhappy. Still, a simple restart of the print resolves this issue most of the time. If not, a quick call or email with our HP support team is a good idea. See www.support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp/ for more information.

      Hello,

XL cartridges are popular with a lot of customers. However, using them is a personal preference. I'm sorry you were not satisfied with the results. A great alternative is the HP instant ink program. At this link, www.hp.com/us-en/shop/cv/instantink/, you will find helpful information regarding ink replacements. With this program, you will never run out of ink.

      Hi,

I can try to help you get more pages out of each cartridge. Ink and toner are valuable resources. Strategizing each page goes a long way. Many customers don't realize how many pages they print.

Print preview, avoiding photos, and decreasing the print quality are all great tips. If you want to read more, go to www.support.hp.com/us-en/help/diagnostics?category=printing&issue=ink-cartridge-issues/ for other solutions.
