    I always trust HP ink, but this standard cartridge is a short fill. I was desperate for ink, so I bought it, but the XL cartridge is a much better value!

    These dry up if you don't use them for too long, which is a shame because how often do you need to print these days? Not that often I bet. Other than that it works OK but it really bugs me that I have to replace half-full ink cartridges because they dried up. The only reason to buy these is because you have the printer they work in and don't want to replace it. But if you're in the market, buy a different brand of printer.

      Hi there,

      I am sorry. That sounds frustrating, but I might be able to help the situation.

      It sounds like clogs are not allowing the ink to go through the tiny inkjets on the cartridge. There is a cleaning routine available from the printer's menu used to clear them out. The routine might need to be run more than once to clean out the clogs completely.

      To prevent the problem:
      - Turn the printer off when it is not being used
      - Always use the power button on the printer itself to turn your printer off. That gives it time to position the cartridge so it is protected from excessive drying, which leads to clogs.
