Always buy the XL.....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed ink while on a tight budget and bought regular cartridges, which I will never do again. I put in the brand new blue cartridge and after printing one page, the printer showed low blue ink warning. Soon it was almost empty. What a waste of money. With printers, it's all about the ink.

Posted .Hi Susan,
I am sorry that you had this happen to you. That does sound frustrating.
Since it seems this was caused by a defective cartridge, it is always an option to contact the seller so that they can make it right.

Posted .Hello,
I'm sorry that you received cartridges that did not seem to last long enough. I can understand if you are upset.
You might find that the XL version of the cartridges is a better value, or you might try Instant Ink. The subscription plans are based on how many pages you print. You can check out the details at: HPinstantink.com

EMPTY INK CARTRIDGES
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m not sure if this was the locations mistake or a manufacturer error , but I ordered the ink online for in store pickup. The pickup took forever (they could not find the package) and when I got it and set up my printer at home...empty. Very disappointed.

Posted .Hi Andy, thank you for your feedback, sorry to hear you are unhappy with the page yield of your HP 902 3-pack Cyan/Magenta/Yellow Original Ink Cartridges. Historically printer manufacturers used their own methods for estimating page yield. However, this made it difficult to compare different products. Nowadays, the published page yield is based on the Industry Standard for measuring yields (refer to International Standards Organization ISO 24711). The actual yield varies considerably based on the content of the printed pages, the frequency of printing, the ink used in set-up etc. You may find that you will get more pages when printing in Fast draft mode. XL size cartridges offer up to 50% lower cost per page compared with standard size cartridges. Our recommendation would be that you leave your printer powered on in normal usage conditions, only power it down if you will not use it for an extended period of time (ie: longer than one month). Disappointed
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't think I will buy HP anymore. The ink doesn't last long at all and when it still shows there is ink left in the cartridge, the quality of the print out is awful. It tells you that you need to replace cartridges when the print out is degraded.

Recommend subscribing to HP InstantInk.
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Recommend subscribing to HP InstantInk. HP monitors your ink levels via WiFi connection and automatically sends you ink before you run out. The cost for this service is less than half that of purchasing ink cartridges in the store.

Ink
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I installed this cartridge, the print came out very pale and then after about 4 tries, the paper was totally empty/clear. Not sure what is happening? Also when we checked the usage the ink was almost half finished.

Runs Out Quick
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I rarely print in color at home, and when I do, it’s only a couple of pages at a time. These refills lasted exactly two months and about twenty color pages. For the price, that is poor value. I expected much more from HP cartridges.

Cartridges were faulty; printer rejected them
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.HP Officejet 6500A printer rejected the cartridges as faulty. Identical former cartridges that had low ink were re installed and worked. Tried wetting the new cartridges but that did not work either.

Beware
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Colors were terrible! I should have returned. Colors are so light seems like it’s running out of ink. Not sure if it is just a bad product or if it’s my machine.

Posted .Hi Nana,
I am sorry that the printer isn't printing well for you. That sounds irritating, but usually print quality problems are due to a clogged printhead inside the machine.
There is an option on the printer's menu that starts a cleaning routine. It might need to be run more than once to clear the clogs out completely.
If it appears that the set of cartridges was defective when you got it, you can see about returning it. Information about that can be found at:
