Posted .Hi Adam,
I'm sorry that your ink seems to have been used up too quickly. I can understand how frustrating that can be!
Here are a few facts about ink usage that might help:
- A high-density print (like a photo) will use the ink more quickly than a low-density print (a text-only document), especially if the paper is highly absorbent and the environment is dry.
- Using the draft and black only settings, when possible, on your printer can help save colored inks.
- Shutting the printer down between uses can help. However, always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That will let the printer 'park' itself so that the cartridges are protected from excess drying.
If you suspect that the low page yield was caused by defective cartridges, you are always free to contact the seller, so that they can arrange for replacement.
If the defective genuine HP cartridge is not replaced by the seller (and is still within the warranty end dates on the cartridge) please contact us for support: hp.com/contactHP

Ink printers are a scam
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dries up as soon as you uncork it. Never again. Sad face.

Posted .Hi there,
My apologies for this happening to you. It does seem like they should last longer.
How a cartridge will perform in your own printer will vary according to several things, including the surrounding environment.
Here are some things that might help you get savings:
- Consider using XL cartridges. Most people say they are a much better value
- Make use of the printer's draft mode whenever possible
- Using the black-only setting will save on colored ink usage
- Shut the printer down between uses
- Always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That gives it time to ‘park’ so that the cartridges are protected from excessive drying
- Subscribe to Instant Ink, then you only pay by the page, not for the cartridges themselves
