We have tried generic ink and even though it was full, sometimes HP thinks it is empty but using the HP ink seems to solve that annoying problem.

I have tried off brands and was always disappointed, they caused print head clogging and occasional print quality issues. Original mfg cost is a bit more, but well worth it to not have to worry about printer problems.

Crisp, Clean Colors

Since ink goes so fast, it is worth a little extra money to have it last longer

I have an HP 6978 and it goes through ink like it's got a serious leak and I use it for a small home office. I had an issue last month with the printer that was ink related and the HP support is poor ! Should have bought an Epson so learn by my mistake.

However i found a better price and received a discount for turning in my old cartridges at Bestbuy in my area. I had a problem with one of the inks and bestbuy exchanged it for me with no hassles.
