    Once before I tried an off brand ink cartridge that promised to work the same as an HP one. Short version ....it didn't. Either the contacts were not matching as they should have or the message was not understood. Color photos were a mess and even black n white printing was not consistent. Whatever money I saved was lost when I had to schlub back to Best Buy and get the original HP ink cartridges.
