I'm sorry to hear that you received a cartridge that did not last long. Provided that the cartridge is not damaged or defective, the ink usage will determine how long it will last. High-density prints (such as photos) will require more ink, especially if the paper is highly absorbent and the environment is dry.
Here are a few facts about ink usage that might help you save on ink:
- Using the draft and black only settings on your printer can help.
- Shutting the printer down between uses can result in some savings. However, always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That will let the printer 'park' so that the cartridges are protected from excess drying.
If you feel that the poor page yield was caused by a defective cartridge, you have the option to:
- request a replacement or refund from the seller
