Recommend subscribing to HP InstantInk
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Recommend subscribing to HP InstantInk. HP monitors your ink levels via WiFi connection and automatically sends you ink before you run out. The cost for this service is less than half that of purchasing ink cartridges in the store.

Does not print
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced cartridges for all colors. Purchased this larger size due to the fact that it was larger. All colors print except black. I have performed the alignment and cleaning procedure so many times, my color cartridges are now showing a drop in levels.

When I print, everything is pink.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I never had a problem with ink before. Don't know what's going on. Today, I took out the cartridge and put them back in and printed something out and again, it's still pink. The black ink is working as the black print is black.

Posted .Hi Tom,
Late deliveries are a disappointment. I understand your feelings completely. Not getting updates makes us wonder where the product is in transit. Did you try the ink? If the ink works well once you receive it, that is great news. If you want to relay more feedback to Best Buy, https://www.bestbuy.com/contact-us is the best point of contact.

Defective
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have half of the black ink left in my printer, but it fails to print in (only) black after all the printer clear procedure. Might be an ink problem itself.

Posted .Hello,
It sounds like the issue is specifically with your black ink cartridge. I empathize with this frustrating situation. Most likely, we can eliminate printer functioning issues.
- The most likely culprit to this problem is a clog. Clean the printhead and the copper contacts to remove residue.
- Ink cartridges most commonly dry out when exposed to the outside air. Limit exposure by turning your printer off when you are not printing.
Hopefully, these ideas resolve the situation. If not, contact HP support at hp.com/contactHP.

HP printers have really gone down in quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been a long time user of HP printers (at least 10 years). I have purchased at least 12 in that time. Now that the cartridge dictates to you when it needs to be replaced (even though it is still a usable cartridge), I will look for other brands. The quality of the HP printers have dropped so dramatically that they are just not worth the money. The last three HP printers I've had go into "maintenance mode" every time I try to print. They also start fading the print (going from dark ink to a faint, unreadable shade). After spending hours wasting ink on "align printheads" and "print test page" you end up spending even more time trying to get help online or by phone from HP. They have you run all the same troubleshooting tests! IF you get one good test print then HP support is ready to hang up. A few days later you get a message from your printer that says your warranty has expired! As for me, I am already looking for a better brand of printer!!!!

This ink evaporates
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think HP is scamming the public. i keep buying this ink for my printer. It keeps running out immediately. I think HP has figured out a way to make it evaporate. Way too expensive.

Posted .Hi Dan,
I'm sorry that your cartridge didn't seem to last very long. I can understand if you are frustrated by that.
Some things that might help you get more for your money are:
- Make use of the printer's draft mode whenever possible, to help stretch out black (and colored) ink
- Shut the printer down when you are not using it. It is important to always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That gives it time to ‘park’ so that the cartridges are protected from excessive drying.
- Consider getting Instant Ink. The subscription plans let you pay by the page. Check out the details at the Instant Ink site.
If it appears that the poor performance is due to a defect, please return it to the seller that you bought it from.

Posted .Hello there Lea,
I am sorry to hear about your experience. Did the cartridge register as low when you first installed it? Or did the ink deplete quickly? Those problems are separate.
I think there are several measures to take here in the future. First, always check the cartridge levels. If needed, make a return. While printing, run regular maintenance on the printer and cartridges.
