It's unfortunate you have gone through cartridges so quickly! Ink is a valuable product, and printing is impossible without it.
Here are some creative solutions:
- Play around with designs on the page. For example, decrease the size of a graphic or change the inside of a table to white.
- Limit extra white spaces on the page.
- Exchange your paper for a thinner version. Thinner paper saves ink.

The warranty date is the HP warranty for defective cartridges. Assuming that the date has not passed and the cartridge won't work because of a defect (and not because it was mishandled by the seller or the shipping company), you might be able to make use of the warranty. Price is as good as it gets plus they do curbside service. The refills are fine; HP leaves you no other choice than to buy their brand, at least for my model. But the cartridges work well band last for a reasonable amount of time.
