H-P creates a monopoly on their cartridges.

The printer I purchased is also disappointing (Officejet 6600). One color goes out you seem to have to buy the whole pak of color cartridges. Won't print without replacing.

Inks all hold up well to the basic usage.

These cartridges go bad way too quickly

I have had the printer for a couple years now and use it very rarely for business and personal use. The ink cartridges for this printer dry out and then it tells you it is out of ink when there is still plenty of ink in there to use. If they want to keep doing this hp should really lower the price of the cartridges.
