Good quality, but runs out fast
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm not sure what reality they are living in when they say 400 pages. I print photos and only got about 20 full 8X10 before they went dry. Not worth the money for me. Maybe get 250 sheets for light work.

I'm sorry to hear that you were not happy with the page yield. The estimates of pages printed are based on industry standards. How the cartridge will perform in real life situations will vary quite a bit.
Provided that the cartridge is not damaged or defective, the ink usage will determine how long it will last. High-density prints (such as photos) will require more ink, especially if the paper is highly absorbent and the environment is dry.
Here are a few facts about ink usage that might help you save on ink:
- Using the draft and black only settings on your printer can help.
- Shutting the printer down between uses can result in some savings. However, always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That will let the printer 'park' so that the cartridges are protected from excess drying.
If you feel that the poor page yield was caused by a defective cartridge, you have the option to:
- request a replacement or refund from the seller
- contact us if it is a defective genuine cartridge that is not replaced by the seller (and it is still within the warranty ends date on the cartridge): hp.com/contactHP
