    The ink cartridges perform as expected. Really never have used another brand of printer other than HP, so I don't have data to compare the cartridges to. I like the simplicity, but hate paying the expensive prices. Their are aftermarket cartridges out there, that are much cheaper. And you can buy refill kits using the same empty HP cartridges if you want to put up with the hassle of fooling the printer into thinking they're new HP cartridges.
