Using HP original inks has kept my printer functioning flawlessly. Purchasing color cartridges separately costs much more.

It is an ink cartridge expensive for the longevity of the ink. I did find that if you are receiving an error that the printer does not recognize the cartridge it is most likely that the printhead needs replaced.

like the hp printer, but the cartridges aren't cheap. You do have to have the color cartridges and black ink all working or it won't print at all.
