    This was the first time I purchased 951 color ink as a separate purchase and I wondered if it would be as good as when purchased as a pack along with the black ink. The colors are very bright and crisp and what I expect to see in printer colors when making a copy or printing from my computer. The colors holds up to the price.

    I tried several 3rd party inks. Some do not last long when stored as back ups. And the HP printer will not recognize some of them. Even though the cost is about half the HP cost, I bite the bullet & buy HP ink. Watch for a sale or use a rewards program. It stinks when a cartridge is empty & the 3rd party ink doesn't work. And a lot of printers won't work with 1 cartridge down. I use HP ink, on sale, because they work.
