Purchased these ink cartridges at my local Best Buy store (good price when recycling my old cartridge). After installing the cartridges in my printer, was able to print two color documents before the printer said the yellow cartridge was broken. Brand new, HP branded cartridge and it broke after two documents...returned to the Best Buy store and purchased a different brand of printer.

It is a printer cartridge. It does what it is supposed to do. It is incredibly expensive (almost cheaper to buy a new printer) but if you are in a hurry and need to print immediately, this will do what you need it to.

Really like most HP products but choke a bit on the price of replacement cartridges for their printers. Would have given 4 stars except life seems short even with the XL models.

HP branded ink cartridges are extremely over-priced, but a necessary evil with HP printers not taking generic cartridges since the last firmware update. Shame on HP for this!!!

The 950 and 951 HP ink works fine. The problem is the ink cost as much as a new printer. This is absolutely ridiculous!

The cartridges work for this printer but cost is high. You would almost be better to get a new printer along with the ink on sale.

The colors tend to burn out really quickly and then you just get this magenta like hue for everything. I would say get a printer that uses different ink

Required but over priced ink for an HP office jet printer. Works as advertised. No complaints except for price.

Works great in the printer, but is extremely expensive. I'll probably purchase a printer that takes less costly ink.

This ink is fine, but I don't understand why the colors run out when I generally only use black. But this seems to be the case no matter what brand I have used.

I needed ink cause it runs out too fast. It only gets used for school things but not heavy use. I guess I would recommend cause don't know what ink would be better.

Works well, good quality but way too expensive at $50 a pack. The printer it self only cost around $100. I'd rather use refilled/recycled cartridges if possible.

HP Ink color refills are unfortunately necessary for our HP printer. The ink even when you are copying a black and white document uses some of the color cartridges. These cartridges go by quickly, which makes you wonder how “full” they are when new. Have tried their XL ones and they seem to only last a tad longer.

      Hello there,

You are correct in stating that the color ink is required to print. Quality ink costs a lot to produce. Our ink is formulated to prevent smears and dry quickly on the paper.

Fortunately, there is a solution if you go to your settings. Select the grayscale or black ink only option for anything that can print without color. You will notice your color cartridges last a lot longer.

Nothing wrong with ink but think it runs out too fast. I don't print that much. Rarely need to print in color but have to replace color in order for printer to print.

I don't do a great deal of printing at home. These cartridges always seem to run out much quicker than I expect them to, especially considering the price.
