You are understandably upset. It’s a shame your son threw away the packaging. That packaging is necessary for a return. For future reference, www.bestbuy.com/site/help-topics/return-exchange-policy/. Please read it carefully. If you printed a lot of pages at once, then being low toner is possible. I hope your next HP experience is excellent.

The cartridge has short life span, and are too expensive for the short lufe span
