    I use to buy the normal ink cartridges and gave the XL ink cartridges a chance and now I can get more work/pages done with out having to change ink cartridges as much.

    The closest way to obtain the factory spec output. Don't bother with the refill or 3rd party cartrige. They really don't perform the same. Expect to pay a premium for the result.

    I always use HP ink for my HP printers. The XL lasts a long time. The color is bright and doesn't fade. Other inks can't do the outstanding job HP inks do.

    If you want good quality stick with OEM cartridges. The HP 951XL prints twice as many pages as the regular HP 951 without costing twice as much.....save money and go with the XL cartridges.
