I don't know if it's my printer or the ink, but this ink -- even the XL -- doesn't seem to last long.

      Hi,

I am sorry that the cartridge seems to run out too quickly. Here are a few facts about ink usage that might help you get more printouts without too much extra effort:
      - A high-density print (like an image or graph) will use the ink more quickly than a text-only document, especially if the paper is highly absorbent and the environment is dry. If you print a lot of photos and such, you will find that Instant Ink is likely to be a good option for you, since you pay by the page, not for cartridges. Details at: instantink.com
      - Using the draft and black only settings on your printer can help save on ink, particularly the colors.
      - Shutting the printer down between uses can result in some savings. However, always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That will let the printer to 'park' so that the nozzles that spray the ink onto the paper are protected from excess drying.

When it appears that the low page yield was caused by a defective cartridge, you can always contact the seller who sent the cartridge about a refund or replacement.

The product works exactly how it's supposed to but you fall victim to price gouging of HP and Best Buy. Costco does very inexpencive refills but they don't always work with HP ink as there cartridges have a proprietary chip. The costco refills worked on three of the 4 cartridges. I bought this product here because I was pretty much forced to. Nobody enjoys being cheated out of their hard earned money.

      Hi Cristy,

I'm sorry to hear that you are not pleased with the price, but let's see if finding ways to save ink might help!

Here are a few facts about ink usage that might help you save on ink:
      - Using the draft and black only settings on your printer can help.
      - Shutting the printer down between uses can result in some savings. However, always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That will let the printer 'park' so that the cartridges are protected from excess drying.
      - Instant Ink might be worth a try. Many customers like our available plans. They're based on how many pages you print monthly, which can save you money. You can check out the details at: HPinstantink.com

If you feel that poor page yield was caused by a defective cartridge, you have the option to:
      - request a replacement or refund from the seller
      - contact us if it is a defective genuine cartridge that is not replaced by the seller (and it is still within the warranty ends date on the cartridge): hp.com/contactHP

      Hi there,

I am sorry that the color cartridges don't seem to be lasting as long as you'd like. That sounds disappointing.

There is a possibility that the maintenance routines caused part of this. The tiny nozzles that spray the ink onto the paper get clogged easily. If a color isn't being used a lot, it is necessary to spray some ink through its nozzles occasionally to ensure that they stay clear.

Shutting the printer down between uses can result in some savings. However, always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That will let the printer 'park' so that the nozzles are protected from excess drying.

When you feel that the poor performance was caused by a defective cartridge, you can contact the seller who sent you the cartridge about a return.

Nothing like the HP products I've purchased in the past. This is an XL product but I was out of ink with in a month. I'm positive that the canisters were not full of ink. I had to go out a purchase the same item from your competitor.

      Hi Wilford,

I regret that the cartridge seemed to run out too quickly. That had to be disappointing particularly since it was an XL cartridge.

If the poor performance appears to be due to a defective cartridge, please consider returning it to the seller.

I received poor customer service buying ink at the Best Buy store in Chocolate, CA. I made an online complaint but received no reply. Customer service does not seem to be a Best Buy priority. This model ink is often difficult to but in store and seldom or ever in bulk packaging.

      Hi,

I am sorry that the cartridge was not full. That must have been inconvenient when you had to order it somewhere else.

When you get a cartridge that is low on ink to start out with contact the seller,

According to the Best Buy website: "If you receive a product that is damaged in shipping, defective or that is not the product you ordered, please return it during your return and exchange time period to Best Buy and we'll arrange for a replacement. If you would rather return the item by mail during your return and exchange time period, please call us for special instructions at 1-888-BEST BUY (1-888-237-8289)."

      Hello Chris,

I'm sorry that you've had such a hard time getting a good cartridge. It sounds like they were refills. Often the refilling process damages the cartridge so that they don't work well.
