I was disappointed when I was unable to print just black text because I was out of yellow. Seems HP forces you to replace the not needed right now inks just to be able to use the printer. I purchased the XL for our first time, hope it last longer than the stock cartridge. With my rewards card I was able to save an additional 10%, so thats cool.

The closest way to obtain the factory spec output. Don't bother with the refill or 3rd party cartrige. They really don't perform the same. Expect to pay a premium for the result.

I have used various HP printers and therefore HP ink cartridges for years. I have always been pleased with the quality. I also like the XL size cartridges as they last a long time.

I wish the ink were not so expensive! Seems there is an opportunity there for HP to reduce the costs. I would imagine the cost of HP to produce this ink is far less than the cost we have to pay. It's a bit over the top.

I have tried less expensive ink refills and have been seriously disappointment with the print ed product. With HP my prints are clear and sharp. Cheaper is most diffentlydid not payoff for me.

OK - Best Buy wanted my review... HP ink cartridges are - well HP ink cartridges. Not much I can say about them except that I needed them, Best Buy had them in stock, and they work as advertised.

Well, this ink is made for the HP printers. I like the XLs because they last longer and gives me morefor the buck. No need to worry about a replacement for longer time.

You usually get more ink for the money over the regular ones. I'm debating over use of original cartridges vs. off brands vs. refills. but for now, I'm buying new HP cartridges.

I always use it for my printer. I always buy the combo but I barely use the color ones. Overall its a good product mostly for now.

Like the extended life (XL) ink cartridge over the regular cartridge. Can print twice the number of ducuments for only a few dollars more than the regular size cartridge.

We had to buy all new ink cartridges for our printer since one of the 4 cartridges in our HP printer we brought from Europe ran out. Interesting to learn that you now can't have any combination of cartridges from different regions of the world (so don't buy any when you're on vacation, or bring any if you move from one country to another). Printer ink is now region coded just like DVD's! Changing the region on the printer is also difficult to do, even when you have your new same-region ink. You have to call up a technician to authorize it.

HP has such good ink. I prefer it to any of the others. My copies are crisp and colorful. The ink dries quickly, as well.

For what ever reason it seems these XL cartridges last forever. Obviously they last longer than the regular, but it just seems these last longer than I had expected them too.

Ink is fine. HP help is bad. Some of the people you talk to try and sell you stuff through 3rd party vendors to pad their pockets. Pretty distressing and a huge waste of time.

I have been very satisfied with the HP 951XL ink cartridges. The print quality is very good and they definitely last longer than the non XL version of the ink cartridges.

How does printer ink disappear so quickly? Personally, the XL size is best in my opinion for this reason. The ink cartridges are easy to replace and gives brilliant color.
