    The high-yield cartridges are the way to go: more pages, more time between purchases, and fewer empty cartridges. I've only once had a problem with an hp cartridge - and that one hadn't come from Best Buy.

    I still find that all cartridge inkjet printers are a rip off. Especially now that some manufacturers make it so difficult to use generics. I can't wait for our HP Officejet Pro to expire so we can replace it with a tank printer.

    Not convinced it's really empty when the printer says it's time to replace. I have a different HP printer with instant ink subscription, and somehow it uses much less ink than the HP printer without the subscription.
