    Must be made of precious metals in the ink. Except for greed no reason for their fixed pricing model. HP should be investigated.

    Wish I weren't married to HP, but that's the nature of the beast. The printer works fine, but HP limits cartridges to their own replacements, making ink-replacements twice the price. ; ^ (

    Does the job, but very expensive. Only recommend because HP has chips in their cartridges that identify them as true HP. Hence cannot use non HP cartridges on many of their printers.

    In lieu of the Octopus my kids ate in the bathtub, this ink worked. Unsure how you rate such a black and white issue (ironic eh?)

    Spoiler alert on this review. It's an ink cartridge and it is just as great or craxxy as all the other expensive / runs out too soon ink cartridge you have ever bought.

    I was hesitant to buy an alternative brand of ink because reviews are mixed and the ink either works or does not work. I had enough rewards points to bring the cost down of the HP ink, so it does the job it was designed to do. No complaints. It could be less expensive though.

    This product was being forced to buy from the manufacturers program. I will not purchase their ink again because the price is too high.

    HP Products generally work very well. What I do not like is having to replace my printer with one that uses a different number cartridge. Very annoying.

    I don't kniw how much this review pertsins to purchase, but I bought it because I needed ink. I still don't understand XL variety. My printer - upon replacing - thought the new ink was empty, so I closed it up; powered it down; and started it again before it was ready. Box, foil wrap, cartfidge, plug so ink doesn't get out with bad storage.

      The XL variety is the extra large cartridge. Most people consider it a better value when they do a lot of printing.
