So a separate black cartridge doesn't fit my printer. I want to return it, but the policy and service are terrible. It has been more than a month since they received my ink cartridges, but they have not given me any reply, nor told me how to deal with the return. I will never buy anything at Best Buy again.

- Ink usage usually determines how long each individual cartridge lasts. Use draft mode to limit copies that are wasted. I recommend printing in black ink when plausible.
- High-density prints will use more ink, especially if the paper is highly absorbent and the surrounding air is dry.
- XL cartridges and instant ink provide high-value solutions. I would recommend both.
- Clean the cartridge copper contacts if there is residue on them.
