The wireless keyboard and mouse don't work. Otherwise, it is okay. The Geek Squad can take a look at it. They are very busy but as soon as I can. I will make an appointment. No rush because I have a HP keyboard and mouse that work.

Lots of stuff: large touch screen, memory, multi programs and large storage, but missing the human qualities, like intuitive learning of how things work, where our particular needs are expressed and taught, and the unknowable security of everything that's connected to this machine! Sorry, but this will just be another little used monstrosity in the toy box.

The HP Copilot+ 23.8" (24" class) All-in-One is one of the most appealing PCs that I've had the chance to review as a member of TIN. While it's certainly not an ultra high-end PC and not made for serious gaming or anything flashy, the HP Copilot+ AIO is really good at a lot of things, at a reasonable price, that I think should be considered for a really wide range of customers and families. #Unboxing and setup# Setting up the HP Copilot+ AIO was super easy. HP has gotten pretty smart with their packaging in the last few years (they are certainly a producer of heavy, bulky goods...), and this AIO PC is no exception. What HP does well is producing inner packaging that is easy to get out of the main box. The Copilot+ AIO has a cardboard sleeve with convenient holes that act as handles that are folded down at the top of the box - you just pull them both and the whole thing slides out. Very low frustration. In different smaller boxes are the wireless keyboard and mouse, and the power adapter. You do have to attach the monitor/PC to its included stand, which required no tools and attaches in about 15 seconds with a thumb turnable screw. The only negative in the first impressions is the keyboard and mouse are reallllly basic and kinda ugly. Like worse than an HP business PC from 10 years ago ugly. Weird, HP. #Using the AIO# First power-on and out of the box experience were typical Windows 11. You get it on the internet (either wifi or via the built-in ethernet port) and sign into your account, and it downloads all the latest updates before you get into Windows. I was a little surprised that the included webcam is infrared/Windows Hello capable, so it walks you through setting that up on first login as well. Performance is really good, and surprisingly you can even upgrade the memory if you choose as this has SODIMM slots instead of soldered memory (I have not opened it to verify, but HP's datasheet for the 24-ct2024 says it does). The Ryzen AI 5 340 CPU is pretty quick, with 6 cores (3 full Zen 5, 3 Zen 5c low power) and 12 threads to keep things very snappy. Since it has an NPU built into the CPU, it's capable of doing local generative AI tasks, from simply removing noise from video calls to chats with Copilot and image generation. AMD typically includes decently quick GPUs on their processors and the Ryzen AI 5 340 is no exception. While it's on the slower side of their lineup, it does support all modern features as an RDNA 3.5 GPU, so it can play many games at low and medium settings. I didn't try anything crazy like Cyberpunk, but Space Engineers, Portal 2, and Overwatch 2 each ran pretty well at 1080p, though for Space Engineers and OW2 the settings needed to be turned down. For a family with a young child, this HP AIO is perfect for casual gaming that kids love - Minecraft and other casual games will run very smooth. This also came with 3 months of PC Game Pass free, which is a pretty great benefit especially for casual gaming. The speakers also sound pretty good considering they are crammed into a tiny space along the bottom of the monitor. They get pretty loud without distortion, though there isn't much bass to speak of. The HP AI Companion is actually a really neat feature especially if you aren't computer savvy. If you're searching for a setting you can just use natural language (either typing or voice) and the Perform assistant will get you going. #Final thoughts# I'd recommend the HP Copilot+ 23.8 All in one PC to anyone looking for a good PC that's got a lot of premium features without going overboard on performance. The webcam and audio performance (especially with the AI noise cancelling on the microphone and Auto Framing on the camera) are great for video chats with friends and family. The gaming performance is more than enough for casual gaming. The display is bright and colorful and at about 24" it doesn't need to be super high resolution to offer a crisp and clear picture. HP has hit a lot of the right notes with this PC, and have included the added value of their AI companion software to make it easier to use for less tech-savvy folks.

This is the perfect workstation for my side business. Besides that it is an all-in-one machine that has a very small footprint, the design is very minimalist that it actually looks good even on customer-facing stations. I placed this on a common workstation bar where 3 other people can just jump on this machine at their schedule. For others who have their own laptops, they can easily project to extend their machines to this all-in-one using its peripherals and nice clear crisp screen. SET UP Easy hardware set up, unit and stand are easy to put together and comes with some useful cable management clip. Peripherals are instantly recognized by the system once I placed the unifying receiver on an open USB-A slot. The keyboard and mouse are very basic but work perfectly for all our needs. Keyboard has a good simple design. Keys are big, though no backlight, but all details are easy to read—perfect for older people. The finish is very clean; matte black, smudge resistant and is seemingly durable. The key return is more on the soft side, including the keys feedback, but are extremely responsive without lags on input. The mouse is pretty basic too but decently sized. It is symmetrical so do not expect advanced ergonomics. It has the same build as the keyboard. The peripherals, together with the actual AIO are very simplistic and clean. Again, all these are perfect for my common workplace bar set up. Less than 10 minutes hardware set up, a little over 30 minutes for the PC to be ready--- this includes porting my Microsoft account, HP software updates, Google account, and any little tweaks for a more personalized experience. Wifi Connection is instant as the signals are very strong. Bluetooth is great too as I was able to add my own mouse when I use this machine. DESIGN Like I mentioned, the whole machine is very simple and nicely put together. It is sleek and looks good placed out for people to see. One slim screen, one lean full keyboard, and a simple but elegant mouse, each component in a unified black matte finish makes the whole package a beautiful machine. All ports are neatly lined up behind the bright FHD screen. It does lack a card reader for my use but it has enough USBs for any adapter. Even the camera is nicely tucked behind the screen—I did not notice it until I had to set up facial recognition. There is an HDMI that I can use to extend it to another screen but I did not have to use it. There is a USB-C but it is not capable of a display port. I mean, the 24 inch screen is more than sufficient especially that it is touch screen. Overall, pretty lean design, and functional for my needs. PERFORMANCE This All-in-one is pretty impressive. The touchscreen is an awesome addition as it makes it easy for older customers to use. Touch is very responsive and is responsive enough to not get confused on multiple touches. The screen is bright and clear even when placed by a bright window, and seemingly dust and smudge resistant—perfect for touches. Movies are sharp and clear with vibrant colors. Daily tasks are so easy—browsing and social media do not even count because this machine can handle it exceptionally. GSuite, Microsoft Suite, are all working smooth as butter. Any web-based applications work without issues. Canva, Adobe Express work great. Network-based software is great too: Drake Software works good, workstation printing is seamless. Onto heavier applications like locally installed GIMP works well even on rendering bigger files. Gaming is pretty surprising because I didn’t even expect this—PC games like GTA V and Fortnite on Epic Games plus steam work well—no screen tears or hiccups. I did not try it on AAA games but this only has a full HD screen so I would think there isn’t an opportunity to push it past crazy higher resolution operation. The screen is sharp and the colors are good. I am not well-versed in screen calibration but when I use military green on my POD items, the shade looks consistent on this screen. About AI—I use Veo on Gemini Pro. It does it like my other AI laptop. So I guess it works like it should? So no issues too. Looks like I have tried all that I can on this machine and it performs well. Yes it can be a family kitchen computer. Yes it is a great work computer. I think this is one of the best All-in-ones I have ever experienced. Especially for the price, I think I can give this more than just five stars!

AI Processor (NPU) and Other Great Specifications

This HP All-in-One is very well made construction-wise and with strong technical specifications. I was very happy with the AMD processor in regards to the speed of execution when many applications were running. I ran several CPU intensive applications and response times were excellent. I also checked this processor against comparably priced Intel processors with the same number of cores and threads; and the performance was observed as better especailly with AI tasks like Microsoft Copilot. The packing was super, the device was well protected and I really liked how HP made it easy to remove this AIO from the box - with grab handles to easily extract it - well done. It was simple to assemble the base to the monitor/main-unit. Very clever angle adjustments, tip of the cap to the HP design engineers.  The screen is absolutely beautiful, bright with very strong colors. I did run a couple color pattern generators, very crisp division between colors. Games showed precise movement and colors as well. Audio was outstanding. I certainly can recommend this powerful unit especially based on price/performance. This unit uses a newer AMD 300 series processor. These processors have an NPU (Neural Processing Unit). NPU's contain circuits to optimize AI applications like Copilot, image recognition, natural language processing and more.  I'm really loving this AIO and it has become my main go to computer.
