The printer prints and scans fine. The wireless print function is a definite plus. I am able to print wireless from my iPhone, Android and pic based laptop. The only draw back is that it must be connected to a PC during the initial configuration. The printer does not have an interface for manual setting the configurations. Once it is on the network there are no problems at all.

Printer works very well considering that it was priced lower than most of the others. It is also wireless, so it allows for better storage. The fan cools very well, and it's bronze finish goes well with the rest of my things. Very nice!

It is taking some getting used to after years of using my old Epson scanner. I loved that scanner , but unfortunately when I had to switch to Windows 7 from XP, it is no longer compatible...As a printer it is good, but I am finding I don't really like it so much as a scanner...I no longer have the option of scanning negatives and slides, or of scanning objects I put directly on the scanner bed...I realize this is a cheap model, so you get what you pay for...Wish there was a way to get my old one to work on Windows 7...:-(

This all in one printer does everything a more expensive model would do. There are only two ink cartages, the last printer I had took four. It has all ready surpassed my expectations.

This printer fits the bill for basic light printing and scanning. Nothing too heavy but now my son doesn't need to use mine to print things for school. Very happy with the price since I got it on a Deal of the Day special!!

My wife and I are greatly impressed with our printer. We have been able to print coupons and other documents with ease. We look forward to using it in other ways as well.

Decent printer for average printing use. Was easy to set up and print quality is excellent. If any issues are to come up, I think it will be with the paper feeder...seems a little sensitive, but no problems so far.

It was a bit of a headache to initially setup from the computer but remarkably easy to setup from my mobile phone. Quality isn't the best but for the price it makes it worth it if you're looking for a simple printer.

The printer works very well and has held up fine for several years. In addition, the printer scans documents and photos which can then be stored or sent by e-mail. For the price excellent as a personal printer, but not suitable for high-volume office use.

I was just looking for an all-in-one printer that has the functions of printing, copying and scanning. This model just fits what I need. Plus, printing/scanning via wifi is very neat and convenient.

A great all-around printer for documents and everyday printing. Haven't used it yet for photos, but I'm sure it would be just fine. Setup was very easy, fast, and hassle-free. I used the USB connection, but having used HP wireless setup before on another printer, that is easy to set up as well. Their printing center module is great, as you can see ink levels and set up preferences, etc., as well as get to the scanning function of the printer. I love HP printers, and it didn't disappoint!

It doesn't print as much of the graphics on my greeting cards as the other. I had to readjust all the print areas. It does a supper job of printing. Now if I can get my laptop to do as well. Ha Ha!!

must use hp61 ink cartidge even though hp60 fits, form and function. must turn power on before each use (energy saver), otherwise prints very good

The HP 2540 is a good budget printer/scanner. I don't use it for making copies, because I have a full-size dedicated copier, so I can't comment on that. It is important to note that this budget model does not support borderless printing, so if you're looking for that, look elsewhere. Set-up was a little bit time-consuming because I had to manually configure the wireless settings in order to keep the printer from acquiring a new IP address every time I turned it on. However, that was not very hard to do. Even a beginner can find step-by-step instructions on the HP website. Overall, I would recommend this printer for a home user who needs basic printing/scanning capabilities. So far, so good.

I love HP printers. I just bought this one as a replacement for my old HP printer I had been using for the past 4 years. I had bought the Geek Squad Warranty on it. It broke write before the two year warranty was over and BestBuy replaced it with a new one.
