Made me jump through hoops, won't print color

This printer has been giving me problem since day 1. I finally got it down to a T, and I had a few weeks of it working as expected. Now it won't print color. To be clear, the maintenance test pages print color, but a picture or document won't print any color included. I've never owned such a terrible printer in my whole life.

The ink dried within a week after I opened it. I love the fact this is wireless and my old printer was wired. But I will be using my old printer again. Need something I can depend on.

Stopped Working After a Few Pages Printed

Very disappointed! Only worked for a handful of pages I printed out. Then the ink went bad. The ink cost as much as a new printer! I'd rather just pay to print per page somewhere. Waste of money.

Ran out of ink after printing ten pages, then I was unable to use the printer until the ink arrived three weeks later. So if you don't need to print, it's OK, but if you do need to print, you are seriously stuck.

    Useless Junk

I would give this product zero stars but that is not an option. After setting it up, following the HP guide, it would not print properly. No black, colors off even though the Troubleshooter app says everything was set up and the cartridges (brand new as supplied, of course) were full. Cartridge cleaning and cartridge alignment seemed to do nothing. I repeated both three times. As my backup printer, that I had kept carefully boxed, it was useless junk.

HP requires I sign up with the subscription service, even when I replace the ink. I already replaced this with an Epson.

    The offer did not match

As you see on this product, the offer was 9 months of instant ink but they already charged me 2.99 $ on my account the 3rd month after shipping one package of ink. I was going to call because it was not implied with what they had offered as 9 months free trials and my credit card information was just for authentication. In reality, it was not correct.

Don't waste your money. The place you load your blank paper does not work right. You can't set up WiFi. This is not the printer for a small in-home business ! Cheaper isn't best!

Not a bad little backs printer for the money. I did have problems at first connecting the wireless to my Apple product, but it’s working fine now. This is just what I needed for my home printing needs.

The program is very clunky. Says printer is not connected even when it is. Made funny sounds when scanning. It seemed like it was printing instead. Paper tray is inadequate. Overall poor quality.

      Hi there.

I’m sorry you’ve encountered difficulty with your printer. Your disappointment comes as no surprise, considering you’ve endured software trouble, odd sounds when the machine is scanning and problems with the paper tray. I want to help you resolve as many of these issues as you can, so I’ll suggest some resources that I hope will serve that end.

First, I recommend that you follow a guide on our support site to installing and using the HP Smart App, especially the FAQ portion, which covers common questions as well as difficulties users have encountered. Find that guide here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_1716406-1413451-16

Next, you can visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various problems, including scanner issues. There you’ll find a general-purpose tool called the HP Print and Scan Doctor. If you use Windows, the tool will help identify and guide you through solutions to a wide range of common scanning as well as printing issues. Visit that page here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics

If any problem persists – and for help with the paper tray – I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess what’s happening and find the best course of action. To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      - Model number
      - Serial number
      - Your location
      - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

Now I know why it was so cheap. I didn’t time it, but it seems to take a long time to print. I think there’s also a scam about ink cartridges. Had to sign up for recurring ink to make it work. More to say.

Signed up for the free trial of ink and they send you different ink cartridges and have you send in original cartridges. Once you send those in you have no choice but to pay the monthly fee for ink or the printer is non usable.

Love my new printer. The only down side is it doesn't automatically connect to print from my phone if it turned itself off so i have to go turn it on, wait for it to connect, and then print.
