We could never get it to connect to any of our devices. We read the instructions that came with the box as well as the instructions online. It would never make a connection to our devices. We tried multiple computers and phones.

You get what you pay for I guess. This is a really junky printer. The HP Smart software is really buggy and often tells me the printer is offline when everything looks fine. Also blinking lights on the display just about daily. Avoid.

Utter trash. It’s almost impossible to connect, and even harder to get it to stay that way. I’ve been able to print exactly 3 pages without an issue. Total rip-off, bordering on scam. This is the 2nd HP model I’ve tried - never never never again.

Upon installing it i could not get it to work. Spent over an hour on hold and being transferred from one HP rep to the next. Finally was transferred to the right HP rep and after about 30 minutes of troubleshooting the printer, he tells me the printer came with a faulty power cord. This is not good product quality at all. I returned the printer to Best Buy and bought a different printer.

      Hi, Beverly.

I’m sorry you’ve encountered such frustration with your printer. I can wholly understand why the inability to connect the device to your Wi-Fi network despite having consulted your internet provider would be unnerving. I want to help you resolve this problem. I hope the resource I’ve listed below guides you to that end.

I can’t tell from your review why the printer won’t connect wirelessly. I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess what’s happening and find the best course of action. To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      - Model number
      - Serial number
      - Your location
      - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

Bad quality photos or any kind of pictures in color. But I mainly purchased it for printing documents, so it works for me. Also, I have not figured it out how to turn it off when not in use. No matter how long you push the on/off button for, it is still on. The only way to turn it off is to unplug it from the wall.

      Hi, Stella.

I’m sorry that your printer has rendered prints of poor quality when processing color images, and that the device’s power button has failed to shut it down. I can certainly understand why this would be an unwelcome discovery. I want to help you resolve these problems, so I’ll provide some resources that I hope will serve that end.

First, I recommend following the steps listed in a guide on our support site to improving print quality. Issues covered include faded or streaked prints, color or black ink not printing properly or at all, and blurred or fuzzy text. Find that guide here:
      - support.hp.com/rs-en/document/ish_6189232-6189286-16

If print quality does not improve adequately – and for input on why the power button has not worked properly – I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess what’s happening and find the best course of action. To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      - Model number

      Hi, Erin.

Thanks for the review and the feedback. While I’m glad that you’re satisfied with many aspects of your printer, I’m sorry to hear that it has used ink more rapidly than you’d anticipated. I can certainly see why that would be an unwelcome surprise. I want to help you understand what’s happening with the device and remedy the problem if one exists, so I’ll offer what I hope are useful resources and information.

First, I can’t say for certain what has happened with the ink supply in your case, but some printers come with what are known as setup cartridges, which have a lower capacity than regular or XL cartridges, and less still than ones in our Instant Ink program. If you’ve used only the cartridges that came with the printer, this could explain what you’re seeing.

However, if you’ve installed replacement cartridges, the XL cartridges designed for your printer have estimated yields of 200 to 240 pages, while the regular size cartridges are expected to produce 100 to 120 pages. How cartridges perform in your own printer varies according to numerous factors, including resolution, how dry the air is and how absorbent the paper is.

Regardless, if you have further questions about ink use or believe a problem exists, I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find the best course of action. To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      - Model number
