Going through all the HP Smart and support hoops has been an incredible waste of my time.

I can certainly understand why this would be a tremendous frustration if you wanted to quickly take advantage of the Instant Ink offer that was part of the purchase. I was very happy to see that the footprint of this printer was small and unobtrusive. Set up was incredibly simple. I just followed the included QuickStart instructions. So often now there are no printed instructions and that is something I really appreciate. I removed the packing tape, plugged it in and opened the app. The set up took less than 5 minutes and the printer was ready to go. The app shows the steps with pictures. I am a fan of HP and already had the app so I didn’t even have to set up a new account. The HP instant ink is a great option. There are multiple plans based on your printing needs. We don’t use our den printer but a few times a month so we have had problems with some printer ink drying up. HP has a great solution for us with with an instant ink plan with only 10 pages a month, even allowing some carry over. The best thing is that the printer is ready for me to print even if I don’t use it for days at a time. Other printers we’ve tried just disconnect and we have to wake them up or even setup our WiFi over and over. My husband set up his Android devices, I connected my IOS devices and my Windows laptop. We can print from any of them anytime, anywhere. So far no disconnects. This is a basic printer but the print quality, even on plain paper is always crisp and vivid. This printer responds quickly and, unlike our prior (non HP), printer it doesn’t grind and whir an take 5 minutes to decide if it will work. If you just need a basic printer this little dude is great. I am a fan of HP and I highly recommend this printer!
