I’m sorry that you received what sounds like a used printer, and that you’ve missed the retailer’s return period. I can imagine how disappointing and disconcerting this must have been, so I want to provide information to help you make it right.
First, I can’t say for sure what happened in your situation, but what you describe can occur when a printer is sold, returned to the seller, then sold again to a different buyer without being adequately inspected before shipment. Because you expected to receive a new printer with all the necessary components, you can try contacting the seller to address this, regardless of the return period. You can do that by scrolling to the bottom of the Best Buy website and clicking Orders & Returns.
If you don’t find success, I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you find any potential recourse. To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number
- Serial number
- Your location
- Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

It still shows an “!” Light on the panel that says something is wrong, but nowhere will it tell you what it is….have upgraded the drivers, ink is installed, etc, etc, and it prints, its just continuously in an alarm state. It does the basics for me, but would NOT recommend to anyone.

As a homeschooling family, I print tons of worksheets and documents for my kids weekly. This printer is fast, effective, and prints with vivid bright colors. The ink never skips or smudges and always prints perfectly. I live using the scanner to scan my kids schoolwork and upload it to their schoolwork folder. Scanning is quick and easy and done in seconds. Setting up the printer is easy and the instructions are clear. This printer is great because it does not take up much space on my desk. I am able to print tons of worksheets in very little time and get all of their work ready for the week to come. Its also great for printing out my sticker labels for mail. Overall we love this printer because it prints quality worksheets every time, has a vivid color when printing, is quick and easy to use for daily use, and always scans documents quickly and effectively when i need it to. This all in one printer has made it easier for our schooling and daily use!
