The setup and installation was quite easy, which you do after downloading the app, with simple steps and diagrams in the instructions. The ink cartridges are a little cumbersome to reach but easy to install. The printer does require the HP Smart app, which is fairly straight forward if you are familiar with your networks You can print either by being connected to the same network as the printer, or by sending the file to an email address for the printer. I tried this, and after figuring out how to set up the remote printing portion, sent a test page to the email, but it never printed. It said "your job is bring processed …" but it never printed. I tried a second time but after getting errors, and not printing, gave up. It prints fine if connected to the same network as the printer which I will use most of the time, but it would have been nice to print remotely when not connected. I'm not sure of the cost savings of their Instant Ink program, but it just seems like this printer relies way too much on technology to use it. There are sometimes delays in printing, seemingly dependent on the internet connection, and the software seemed a little too complicated and glitchy at times. The print quality is decent - text is clear and photos are good quality. It's a great printer for the price, sleek looking and good quality, but may be challenging for those that don't have a good grasp of technology.

Printer cut off half heads, printed smaller than original, changed the tone of color. That was not all on one picture. So I wasted photo paper besides my time. Called to see if I could exchange it for a better model,,,,,,But I was 2 days over the return date. So I am stuck!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks ----BEST BUY ???????? Huh!
