Worst purchase ever. It works in between and most of the times it’s offline. Now, it’s giving error message in the display panel/flashing. Going to get another one and it’s just been a year. I had my previous hp printer for couple years and that’s why thought of getting HP again but this printer always has issues.

      Hi there.

I’m sorry to hear that your printer ran out of ink so quickly. I can certainly see why that would be an unwelcome surprise and a poor start to ownership, especially after a frustrating setup process. I want you to understand what’s happening with the device and remedy the problem if one exists, so I’ll try to offer some helpful suggestions.

First, I can’t say for certain what happened with the ink supply in your case, but some printers come with what are known as setup cartridges, which have a lower capacity than regular or XL cartridges, and less still than ones in our Instant Ink program.

The XL cartridges designed for your printer have estimated yields of 200 to 240 pages, while the regular size cartridges are expected to produce 100 to 120 pages. How cartridges perform in your own printer varies according to numerous factors, including resolution, how dry the air is and how absorbent the paper is.

Regardless, if your results differ dramatically from the estimates above, I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find a solution. To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      - Model number
      - Serial number
      - Your location
      - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

Just got the printer connected. Glad I asked my nephew to help because we did have issues. Not sure why we had a hard time getting it going but he finally did. So far I am totally happy with the machine. The colors are sharp and so is the b&w printing. Small footprint which I like. Does print a little slow.

There's something wrong with the aligment on this printer. It kept on cutting off top part of text, then on the sides. I tried several things recomended on the support and nothing worked. Then I went to the HP app for and that was a waste of time. I am returning this printer.

The worst printer I have ever used. It wouldn't recognize the color cartridge on the FIRST go around. Replacement printer just refused to run at all, until one day it began to print without a command and would not stop. AND the prints are AWFUL

      Hi there.

I’m sorry to hear that you’ve had such a dreadful experience after your printer purchase. It’s no surprise that you’re frustrated, considering your first printer did not work and the second one has performed so erratically. I want to help you remedy this situation, so I’ll offer a resource and some information I hope will make that happen.

I can’t tell from your review what’s causing the uncontrolled printing and poor print quality you describe, so I’ll point out that HP+ printers come with exclusive concierge support. To call and reach live HP+ experts who can help you assess what’s going on and find a solution, visit the following URL and enter your HP+ serial number:

      Hi there.

I’m sorry that you’ve encountered difficulty with your printer. I can certainly understand why slow print speed, rapid ink use and not finding the two-sided printing feature you want would be disappointing. I want to help you remedy these issues. I hope the resources below guide you to that end.

First, I recommend that you follow a guide on our support site that covers improving print speed. Find that guide here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_2817150-2408088-16

Next, while you’re correct that your printer lacks automated duplex printing, it does have a manual function that accommodates two-sided printing. I suggest you consult the section “Print Using a Computer” that you’ll find in the main user manual on our support site here:
      www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c07043348.pdf

Regarding ink use, I can’t tell from your review how many pages you printed per set of cartridges or how that compares with their estimated page yields. The XL cartridges designed for your printer have estimated yields of 200 to 240 pages, while the regular size cartridges are expected to produce 100 to 120 pages. How cartridges perform in your own printer varies according to numerous factors, including resolution, how dry the air is and how absorbent the paper is.

Regardless, if your results differ dramatically from the estimates above – or any other issue persists – I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find a solution. To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

Printing speed is very slow. For first few pages in a day is good but after that, if you prints more at a time, this is going to take lot of time. Also for color pages it even takes more time. Same with copy also. Scan and fax is fine. So if you get it in great deal, then value for money but at max retail price, its not worth it.

      Hi, Suman.

I’m sorry to learn that your printer has rendered prints so slowly. I can certainly understand why you’d be puzzled and eventually frustrated by the device starting off OK but declining in print speed and being even slower on color pages. I want to help you resolve this situation, so I’ll direct you to some resources I hope will reach that goal.

First, I recommend that you follow a guide on our support site that covers improving print speed; choose whichever of the following two links matches your operating system:
      - Windows: support.hp.com/us-en/document/bud03409
      - Mac OS: support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01928898

Also, often just updating the firmware can help improve print speed. You can find out how to do that here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02919168

If print speed does not improve to your satisfaction, I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess what’s happening and find a solution. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      - Model number
      - Serial number
      - Your location
      - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies – and that warranty extends to two years with an HP+ account – so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it.
