This printer really sucks! It uses ink extremely fast, I don’t even get 100 pages to a black cartridge. Spending a fortune replenishing ink! Don’t buy it.

DO NOT Purchase Instant Ink or take part in this promo that claims 6 months free ink. I had to replace lost credit card numbers online and the printer would not allow me to print until the payment method was updated. Which is a long ridiculous process. They will not let you speak to a human.

It’s ok. I didn’t expect too much for the price. It’s fine for a home print with nothing complicated to do. The instructions could be more complete I found out from troubleshooting that it needs to be turned on before I turn my laptop to get it to connect and scan.

I got this printer to use for school and I hate it!!! The paper gets jammed all of the time and it uses too much ink. The very first day I used the printer it ran out of ink. I bought more black ink and it ran out the same day I put it in and I wasn't printing a lot. I can't keep buying ink so I can't use the printer. Waste of money!

      Hi there.

I’m sorry to learn that your printer has performed so dreadfully. Your exasperation comes as no surprise, considering you experienced frequent paper jams and used a whole cartridge of black ink without a lot of printing. I want to help you resolve this situation, so I’ll direct you to a resource and provide some information I hope will make that happen.

I can’t tell from your review why the printer jammed so often and went through ink so quickly. I recommend that you contact us directly so we can help you assess the situation and determine the best course of action. HP+ printers such as yours come with exclusive concierge support. To call and reach live HP+ experts, visit the following URL and enter your HP+ serial number:
      - hp.com/plus-help

I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies – and that warranty extends to two years with an HP+ account – so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link:

This is the worst printer I have ever owned because of the HP software. It doesn't work. I am computer literate and competent at IT-related tasks, and I can confidently inform you that the HP Smart printer software is buggy and poorly designed. Its implementation problems do interfere with the user's ability to use the printer for its basic purposes: printing, scanning, etc. In particular, WiFi functionality of the printer is totally unusable for me. The printer is clearly on the network, according to any and all diagnostics, but the software fails to connect to it that way, through any of various UI paths. I have to use the printer over USB.
