Pickup location Burbank store on Monday, August 9th. The HP DeskJet 2755e wasn't the item in the box. During the setup the HP Network Configuration Page Print outlined the Model: HP DeskJet 2700 All-in One Printer. Very disappointed with the manufacturer label on item.

      Hi there.

I’m sorry to hear that you encountered a number that you did not expect to see during the setup process. I can certainly understand why that would be a confusing and unwelcome surprise. I want to help you clarify this issue, so I’ll provide some information and resources I hope will accomplish that.

First, I’ll explain the difference between model number and series number. Your printer’s model number is the DeskJet 2755e. It belongs to a series known as the DeskJet 2700e, which includes models of several numerical designations. Printers in this series share certain software and instructional components. Those items carry the series number rather than the individual model number. I’m all but certain this explains why you saw 2700e rather than 2755e.

If you still have questions, you can access user manuals, how-to documents, troubleshooting guides and software updates specific to your printer on our support site here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/product/model/2100187846

If you need answers or assistance beyond that, I suggest you contact us directly. I’ll point out that HP+ printers such as yours come with exclusive concierge support. To call and reach live HP+ experts, visit the following URL and enter your HP+ serial number:

      Hi, Ronald.

I’m sorry that your printer’s document feeder has not worked correctly. I can certainly understand why this would be unnerving, especially considering you’d used the device so little. I want to help you resolve this problem, so if you’ve not yet discarded the printer, I’ll suggest some resources I hope will make that happen.

First, I recommend you follow a guide on our support site to document feeders that pull through too many pages at once or fail to pick up any paper at all. Find that guide here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01728503

If the problem persists, I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess what’s happening and find the best course of action. To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      - Model number
      - Serial number
      - Your location
      - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link:

The printer will not connect to my network. I have many devices connected with no problems. Other printers connected with ease. This is 2020 you would think HP could come up with a plug and play connection. To connect via USB you have to buy a cable, HP does not include a cable and a printer USB cable at Best Buy is $25. Some bargain printer! HP can do better than this.

I can’t tell from your review why your printer has not connected wirelessly, so I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find a solution. Could not get printer to connect via wifi to our chromebook. Called geek squad and they were no help at all. They wanted to charge me and would not even tell me if printer was compatible with the computer. Ended up returning the printer and buying elsewhere.

20 years later and printers are still cumbersome

I have avoided owning a printer for over 20 years, I'd prefer to go to a nearby office or print at work. With COVID and moving further away from the city I was forced to buy a printer to print documents when I didn't have another option. I went with this cheap model hoping after 20 years printers would have become smarter and less cumbersome to install and "just work", but the same type of problems still exist: PC won't find the printer for random reasons, printer LEDs blinking reasons you can't explain, various restarts, etc just to make it work.... And HP will force you to install a software only for that! Also the printer and PC won't talk if they are on different Wi-Fi even if on the same network.
