The printer itself is *fine*. It prints, it seems to do an OK job. If you're going to use it wired or dont mind using wifi direct, go ahead and get it. But man, setting this up on my home network was a nightmare. HP's "smart" software just doesn't work, and worse yet it doesn't even give an error code or say whats wrong, you just get generic "that didn't work!" messages. So you're just on your own. After 3 hours of trial and error, changing settings in my gateway and setting a static IP i finally got this monstrosity connected.

      Hi, Matt.

I’m sorry to hear that you encountered such difficulty setting up your printer. While I’m glad that it’s printing OK now, I can easily understand why the experience you describe would be a dreadful start to owning a new device. I want to help you get all you can from the printer and have a better experience going forward, so I’ll direct you to some resources aimed at making that happen.

To learn more about your printer and all its features, or for help solving problems, you can access user manuals, how-to documents, troubleshooting guides and software updates here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/product/model/29378213

You can also visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various tasks and issues, including setup, cartridge installation, print quality, operating-system compatibility and connectivity. There you can find a general-purpose tool called the HP Print and Scan Doctor. If you use Windows, the tool will help identify and guide you through solutions to a wide range of common printing and scanning issues. You can find the page here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics

If you need further assistance with anything, I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find a solution. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

I was able to print a few pages then the printer disconnected and i haven’t been able to get it reconnected. It’s a WiFi printer so it did not come with a plug to connect directly to the computer. I’ve tried on my desktop and MacBook. I’m definitely going to consider returning it.

      Hi there.

The HP DeskJet 2755 Wireless All-In-One Inkjet Printer is a budget printer that offers decent performance for the price, good print and scan quality. I initially set it up directly connected to a Windows 10 PC via USB - that went without a hitch. I already had HP software downloaded and installed from having another HP printer connected, but if you don't already have it, expect the download and install to take a while. The print speed is OK in black, almost half as slow in color. I would recommend tweaking the settings to a lower dpi/resolution/quality to speed up printing and conserve ink, unless you're printing pictures on photo paper at 1200x1200dpi. The less than pleasant experience was getting it connected to WiFi. Even though I already had the HP Smart App installed on my Android phone, it just wouldn't connect. I ended up swapping back to a spare TP-Link router and then I was able to use WPS to connect the printer to WiFi. Another minor annoyance is the frequent advertising for the Instant Ink-Ready subscription, I doubt many people will use. Still looking for a way to disable the "reminders".
