Yuck
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am utterly disappointed with this printer. It scans fine, but printing is almost nil since I bought it. I didnt set it up wifi; just used a jack out of my computer, but it might print 1 of 20 print requests. When I am successful it is only after I have turned the printer off and on.

HP fails again

This printer stopped working - entirely - after about 20 pages of printing. I have sworn off HP products in the past, so shame on me for trying them again. Complete garbage.

It's been nothing but a headache. I set it up and printed from it and it worked great so we tossed the box and now can't return. The next time I tried to print and it just never printed. It said it was connected to the printer, it said it was ready, but it never printed. I waited 45 minutes thinking maybe it would just be delayed. Nothing printed ever. I unplugged it, plugged it back in, shut down my computer, reset my router, moved it closer to the router, then finally rehomed it 2 inches from the router. I followed all the troubleshooting things online and ended up uninstalling the app, redownloading, resetting the printer, reconnecting to wifi and my computer, and then, after having cancelled all three documents I had tried to print, my printer randomly spit them all out after about 10 minutes of being reconnected (about 2 hours into the process of trying to get it to print) and I hadn't even resent them to the printer. I thought it was working again and was glad I finally got my documents so I didn't call customer service. Now today I'm trying to print once again and it's doing the same thing. It's a worthless piece of junk that won't print even when it's connected to both wifi and the computer. I don't know why there are so many good reviews. I tried to search my seriel and product number for a warranty and it says that my device can't be found. I will be calling customer service tomorrow. If I could return it, I would. Do not buy. Not worth the headache.

If you want a headache this printer is perfect

I brought a wireless HP printer about 5-6 years ago. Which to this day still works perfectly fine, but I wanted to upgrade and came across this one. I should have read the reviews because all the negative ones are correct! In order for it to work I have to unplug and plug again if not it will not print any of my stuff. I’ve only used it twice printing out less than 10 pages and bam all of sudden I’m out of ink. My older HP takes months to even run out of ink this one I’ve used twice and that’s it. I really thought this printer will be easier to use and honestly it’s terrible. Oh and you can only print while using the app and close to the printer. It takes about 10 minutes just to print out one sheet. I got this on sale and honestly thank god because this is terrible printer. I couldn’t pay $70+ for this. I guess I’m going back to my old printer because this is not it, if you want a headache this is for you. If I would could give this 0 stars I honestly would.

Regarding the ink supply, I can’t say what happened in your case, but some printers come with what are known as setup cartridges, which have a lower capacity than regular or XL cartridges, and less yet than ones in our Instant Ink program. Still, the number of pages you mention seems quite meager. A third possibility is the printer is not reading the cartridges correctly and is giving an inaccurate reading.
