Update the firmware

You also have to look up the firmware based on the model number on the google search bar not the hp printer update official website because it does not show up there. I had to refresh the Wi-Fi discover many times as well for it to finally find the network I needed and my apartment only has 6 in total. If you don't update the firmware it will say contacting printer for a whole 2 minutes and time out. I don't know if I'm allowed to share links on reviews but the link to the update is https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-deskjet-2700-all-in-one-printer-series/29378157 it's the last option you just unplug and replug the printer wait for it to connect to internet again and ready status to update. I hope this saves someone from having to make a return when they don't have to because I was definitely going to but the price and look is good for a home that doesn't print much

You might be tempted because it’s cheap but you will spend more time troubleshooting than printing. I’m tech savvy and I find it very annoying.
