It uses the HP 63 ink cartridges which are around 30 bucks each (uses one black cartridge and one Tri-color cartridge). HP instant ink is a great deal for me (print 50 pages a month for 3 bucks, ink is delivered to your house for free when you run out). Print quality could be crisper but at this price point you can't complain.

nice budget printer

The control panel is limited and takes some getting used to , especially if there is an error condition. More extensive information is available via a web interface. All in all you get what you pay for and at this price (29.99) it cant be beat!
