Great for our home office

I wish I would’ve paid more attention before and noticed that this does not print on both front and back. But for the price I love that you can scan things you can also print things I also have taught myself with this printer to print on envelopes and index cards.

I am a big HP fan but this is a very disappointing printer. It is very small (nice) but everything else just leaves you wondering what you could have had for $20 more. The setup was not an easy one if you wanted to do it with just a PC. Luckily I had an extra USB cable handy as this printer was not showing up in my network and I had to do the install from a direct connection. This printer loves to disconnect itself from service after some hours (it says it will not if connected to a network etc) but it does and does not let you change the option at all. The print jobs are so slow. My previous HP Envy printer just broke down after about 5 years of service and I guess I got used to the speed of that one (I considered that one a tad slow) so for this one, I was surprised at how long it took to send a print job from an Ipad my friend brought over and then wait on the printing to complete. I shook my head and said to myself you get what you pay for. There are other deals on other printers that will outspeed this one so this time I will spend a little extra so that I do not wind up frustrated with this little printer over the next few years.

I didn't read the instructions correctly, so I had a bit of trouble getting it set up but DUH, I started over and TADA!!! Perfect. Slim and fits nicely on a desk

One would think setting up a new printer would be relatively easy - think again. Downloading took time. Installing software took time. Looking for a USB cord took time -- not included in box. Software crashed more than once. Still can't set up wireless link - software misidentifies SSID and can't be manually corrected. I have spent hours and am ready to throw this out a window. Am not sure plastic will hold up as cartridges are inserted and removed. May just try to repair old deskjet....or try another manufacturer.
