Printer is A PITA because it's offline a lot. It shouldn't be so hard to get any printer back online like this POC!!! I'm not a programmer and HP has made me not want another HP printer at all after having this printer.

with very few printing, copying, scanning needs, i used it about 10 times in 3 months, hence buying such a cheap printer. as soon as the return date had passed it no longer prints, copies, and could never get it to scan black and white nor color will print. trash. and that’s where it’s going. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS.

      Hi there.

I’m sorry to hear you’ve had such a dreadful time with your printer. It’s easy to understand why problems with print and copy function – and a scan function that did not work at all – would be exasperating. With that in mind, I’ll offer some resources and information that I hope will help.

I’m not sure what’s behind all the issues you describe, so I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and guide you through any applicable troubleshooting. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      - Model number
      - Serial number
      - Your location
      - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link: support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty

I really thought I would like this for home printing because of its compact size, and since ink is so expensive I refrained from printing; only if I really needed to print. However, I found with this printer, the ink was drying out to the point where I kept replacing the ink and it kept drying out. I had another bulky printer and I did the same thing with that one and I never had issues with the ink drying out, so I am just going to assume that there is something about the printer that allowed the ink to dry out, or it could always be HP is just making cheaper ink cartridges. I also was not a fan of how it scanned documents. You have to kind of shove the paper in a little further than the feeder will take it in. Other than that you get a strip on tip of the scan

      Hi, Jack.

I’m sorry to hear that you’ve been unable to use your new printer because it would not complete the process of setup and connection. I can understand why that would be a frustrating start to owning a printer, so I’ll offer some resources and information I hope will help.

First, you can access a setup tutorial as well as user manuals, troubleshooting guides, how-to documents and software updates for your printer on our support site. Do that by following this link:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-deskjet-3700-all-in-one-printer-series/8954253/model/11262035

You can also visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various tasks and issues, including setup and connectivity. There you can also find a general-purpose tool called the HP Print and Scan Doctor. If you use Windows, the tool will help identify and guide you through solutions to a wide range of common printing and scanning issues. You can find the page here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics

If you need further assistance with setup, I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and guide you through any applicable troubleshooting. I will never buy another HP item again. We could not get this printer hooked up to our computer (we don’t have WiFi-it doesn’t come with a cord). Even when I finally found a number for HP, they were going to charge me if they helped me over the phone with instructions-the printer came with none. It was so awful. (We finally bought a cord and figured it out with a lot of help from a friend over FaceTime)

      Hi, Cara.

I'm terribly sorry to hear that your printer was so difficult to connect to your computer. Even more so, it's awful to hear about the experience you had when reaching out to support. Unfortunately, support feedback of that nature is often linked to fraudulent companies or individuals.

There is no charge for standard support during your one-year warranty period. Just in case, you can double-check the warranty status of your printer at: support.hp.com/checkwarranty

We know that fraudulent companies and individuals find their way to people by many means, and often they appear totally legitimate. On our support site we have a section that contains information on how to protect yourself from scams, and what to do if you’ve been the victim of one. Visit that page here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05404707

If you need help at any point, we're always here for support. Please contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can guide you through the proper troubleshooting. To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      - Model number
      - Serial number
      - Your location
      - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

We look forward to speaking with you and making this right.
