I have never had such an issue in my life trying to set-up a printer. I have wasted a total of 4.5 hours over the course of two days trying to install this printer every way possible as instructed on the "Wireless Quick Start Guide" & watching videos. Nothing works! I'd like nothing more than take a sledgehammer to this printer. I'm a very disappointed & angry customer. I will be packing this piece of crap up, returning it & hooking my old printer back up to my other desktop computer. Also, remember the days when companies actually sent you a detailed instruction manual & software discs with your printer? Anything to save them money, right? It wasted my money by printing out "their" random information using the ink cartridge I purchased, sometimes the same page over & over. I guess that is their way of swaying the customer to use their "instant ink" service. And if the printer wasn't bad enough, initially, over two weeks went by with one delay after another & I still had not received the ink cartridge I had ordered the same day of the printer & was to receive within a few days. I finally called & had them cancel the ink cartridge purchase.

Although the scanner gave out with in 2 months. easy replacement after contacting the manufacture they sent out a new one.

Even though we marked it for noone else to be able to print to it, everyone in the dorm BUT my daughter could print. It locked her out as restricted user and none of the instructions we followed, from hp or the internet, worked. It is now collecting dust in the garage because we didn't have the box and we bought her another brand.

Had just over a year and the paper feed is already worn out. Will not feed paper to print. The sad thing is I really don’t use it much so for it to wear out already, it wasn’t worth even the low price I paid.

I was trying to connect it to my brand new Microsoft Surface Pro 4 and it errors that it was incompatible with USB 3.0. I spend about 3 hours with Geek Squad when they finally pronounced this particularly item as citrus smelling. I exchanged it.

The WiFi constantly disconnects (this doesn’t happen with my other devices) and I’m spending hours a week troubleshooting. Splurging for a better model may have been the way to go.

I'm so sorry that the printer has been performing slowly and using quite a bit of ink. We're certainly committed to providing a much more economical and efficient experience with our printers, so I can imagine how disappointing this is. With that said, I'd like to see how I can help with some improvements.
First, I have a few suggestions for lowering overall ink consumption. To start, I recommend using the printer's draft mode, as this can often improve ink usage. Following that, you could also set the printer to print black and white only. If you still find you're using quite a bit, Instant Ink is another option to consider. Many customers like our available plans, as they're based on how many pages you print monthly. If your printer usage is minimal, Instant Ink also offers a subscription plan that allows you to print 15 pages a month for free. For more details, you can visit this link: HPinstantink.com
