Customers are saying
Customers are impressed with the Envy 16" laptop's performance, touch screen, and graphics capabilities, frequently citing its smooth operation and high-quality display. Many also appreciate the ample RAM and storage, along with its build quality and competitive price. However, some users note that the battery life could be improved, and that the laptop can be heavy and generate noticeable fan noise during intensive use. The device's tendency to heat up is also a recurring concern.

Great device at an unbeatable price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP Envy 16 is a 2023 laptop with a 13th Gen Intel Core i9 processor and Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card. It has a 120Hz display, which makes it a good entry-level gaming laptop. It has two slots for memory. The maximum amount of RAM that can be installed is 64GB. The maximum amount of storage that can be installed is 2TB. it has excellent battery life, a good keyboard, and a great screen. It also has a high-resolution webcam. Pros Good price Solid performance for productivity and creativity Competitive gaming performance Great screen Good keyboard and touchpad High-resolution webcam All-metal design Cons A little heavy A little flex in the chassis

Great value for what you are getting..
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is just fantastic. I've been using it for a month now and haven't had any issues. I've upgraded the RAM to 64 Gb which compliments that latest Core !9 processor. The primary thing I use this laptop for is film editing. I shoot in 8K and that can really tax a computer but so far it hasn't phased this one. I do want to mention editing and rendering can raise the temp so I have it sitting on a multiple fan cooler which I'd highly recommend.. I haven't used the Thunderbolt connections yet but I will be in the near future. I don't think you could find better in this price range..

Good at first - bad progressively - atleast for me
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This pc was good in the beginning, I changed to a pc after 15 years simply because the configuration I thought is required to do video transfers of large 4K files would cost at this moment not affordable in a Mac. It seemed it is fast, progressively got slow and also the hard disk suddenly one day lost almost 90% of my files due to a bad sector. Unfortunately I didn’t save my files, all lost, changed to a Mac and boy I felt / feel relieved.

Good computer, GPU underperforms.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good computer but the Nvidia GTX 4060 has low wattage (90W) so it will underperform in comparison to nearly all other 4060s. Still a good computer for $1200, but I needed a better GPU so I returned it.

Great hardware, but flawed PC
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This computer has all of the right components, but is crippled by quality control issues. In particular, the laptop runs way too hot over time. When I first had the computer, it ran great and at a reasonable temperature. Over time, it started running hotter and hotter, and nothing fixed the issue. I tried adding an IETS laptop cooler and repasting, but both had no effect. It's gotten so bad that the CPU runs ~60 Celsius even when doing nothing but simple web browsing, let alone any gaming. Basic games that are not even graphically intensive make the CPU hit its temperature limits (96 Celsius) and throttle almost immediately. I've had multiple high performance laptops over the years, and this is the first one that has ever had this problem. I'd also search online about this issue, if you think this might just be my unit. You'll see multiple posts on Reddit and the HP support website where people complain about the same problem. It's a shame, because the individual components in this machine are amazing, but something seems fundamentally wrong with the design.

Great laptop with some weird issues
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Price to performance is great. HP made some weird adjustments to touchpad where it will not register click when you use thumb horizontally. Wish it had option to adjust this

I must have gotten a lemon…
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Though, overall, the computer worked fine there was an overheating issue when plugging in external monitor. I received the computer in September and it has been at HP waiting for a part to fix the issue for 2 months now. That is after taking it to Geek Squad with no help. Turns out HP finally agreed to return my money and back to square one in the purchase of a computer for my business.
